Well actually I haven't!! I was playing around with image chef and realised after a lot of errors that I wasn't registered and therefore couldn't access the site!! However my brain did eventually click into action and voila - came up with my 'award' picture. Hope you like the picture of me sitting in my flower garden. I don't have my honey pot with me as I didn't want to appear as if that is all I ever do - eat honey!!!!
In some way I feel relieved the course is over but I will miss seeing what new sites and activities I have to discover. I certainly feel a lot more confident trying out different modes of accessing information. I am enjoying facebook and dare I say it - podcasts!! Image chef is affiliated with my space I have since found out and that is something I didn't know before.
I don't think I will be using everything I have learnt as I don't have to use the computer as such at work. Well, at least not yet!! I have enjoyed writing in my blog and I believe I will keep it active if only to save for my grandchildren to read one day!!!!!! Not that I have any yet but I am forever hopeful. I wonder if I could save my blog to the memory stick should I receive one??
I will miss emailing the friendly web 2.0 team. They have been very supportive especially when I have grumped and moaned and got frustrated!! Thank you team. I think my favourite sites would be the ones like image chef where I could create something. The searchrolls are handy to record all my books or is that rollyo. Oh dear I am getting a bit confused. I am going to go back over my blog posts slowly and just take my time to have a look at sites properly. I have felt I needed to rush to get the exercises done before the next week but now I don't have to so I am much more relaxed. Everything I learnt has been a surprise for me as I haven't encountered these sites before, only heard of some of them.
That's it. I have done my dash. Cheerio and lots of lovely honey kisses to you all.

Ex 19
Well alright I have looked a bit more into podcasts!! But this time i googled podcasts and went into BBC Radio 5 live site. It was interesting in that it had the story of the day. That was lovely to listen to. Here is the URL if you want to listen too. http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/fivelive/5lsotd/rss.xml It's about Christine and Chester. And here is another one on book reviews and interviews with the authors. Great site!http://downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/fivelive/books/rss.xml This one has definitely gone to my bloglines.
Maybe now that I know what I am doing I might enjoy podcasts a bit more!

I think social networking in libraries would be great especially for teens. They are always on the computer and what better way to communicate with them than through sites such as myspace or facebook. Teens are inherently lazy (personal opinion here!) and if it means that they don't have to 'go' anyway to gather information then surely they will love being a 'friend' of the library. As teens are also known to do a lot of grunting as opposed to speaking social networking would be wonderful for them as they wouldn't have to utter a single word!!!

Well I have spent too long playing around with facebook. I had a look at the other sites but I found the facebook one the most interesting and easy to use. I can see why so many people have joined. Now nothing will get done around here! I may even have to get my own laptop so I can have exclusive use of facebook!! LOL Not likely!!!
Oh dear I have spent a lot of time becoming addicted to facebook!!!! Now the dinner is probably overcooked and the children will not be impressed. Oh dear oh dear. I have had a lot of fun though!
http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=409176669&albumID=0&imageID=341832 I have a photo of my favourite group Il Divo. I found it in My Space. Actually I cheated a bit and used my daughters account as I couldn't face signing up for one more thing!!
Ex 20
I have had a look at ebooks. I am so old fashioned that I like to have a book in my hand to read along with a cup of coffee and a muffin (a honey muffin that is!) . I tried to fine To Kill a Mockingbird by Haprper Lee which is one of my all time favourites but I couldn't find it. I would have thought it would be a 'classic'. So then I chose The Railway Children and that was there on the Gutenburg site. I downloaded that but was unsure about which format to choose. I didn't really understand what they were so just chose any one. It downloaded ok and I had a wee read but as I said I can't quite cope with reading a 'book' on a computer. Doesn't even have the right smell!!!

I am fed up with podcasts. They are so boring and I don't think I will EVER use them. Most don't have feeds anyway and I have given up trying to work out how to include them into my bloglines.
There that's my gripe for a beautiful Sunday afternoon!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iXy35Bvnq18 I was trying to embed this video but couldn't do it. How does one do it? Do you the reader know? I though this video was great fun and I felt like I was there and joining in! Good idea to rent out laptops. This video is also good if you want to practise your French!! I think these sorts of video would be great for creating infomercials about the library and its resources.

I also had a look at Twitter because I hadn't heard of it before. It has always been facebook this and facebook that in our family! I quite like the name twitter but don't know how it would be implemented into a library setting. I also don't know if I could possibly join another site!!!! I would never get anything else done and would become computer square eyes. Not too good for a Teddy Bear!
web2.0 awards
I have enjoyed searching through all those sites. I have had a look at the geneology sites and was tempted to sign up for the heritage one but ....another password to remember! The trouble is I often leave it too long before I visit it again and then I can't remember which password, email address or user name that I used!! How do people find the time to do all these things!!

Searchrolls
Yes I believe I have got the hang of searchrolls now. I know how to do it but of course my befuddled brain can't remember many of the sites I visit. However the virtualoceania one is nice and I like it!!

Rollyo
http://www.rollyo.com/editroll.html?sid=456811 Here is the url to my searchroll. Or at least i think it is!!
Searchroll
I am not entirely sure how this searchroll works. I will have to look at it further. But right now I am tired so I am going to sign off and have a cup of tea!!
Library Thing
http://www.librarything.com/addbooks Here is the url to my library thing catalogue. It is a neat idea and I must try and transfer all the bookclub books I have read to it. It will be a handy reference. I notice though that any 'English' authors don't have any followers in America.

image generators.
This was fun playing around with image generators. I too used imagechef. It was easy to navigate and very straightforward.
